Didnt get it wrong, Stop Moaning, Just Race

In light of the last posting,"Officials Apologise" I felt it prudent to point out the following.
The officials did not get it wrong with the race finish at Green Island, there was an incident with a "Professional Truck Driver" who couldn't back his truck blocking the road for the sprint finish.
I understand this may be seen by some members as an Official Error however these riders are also so concerned with others not pulling a lap they fail to see that had Officials not been available at the weekend there would have been no race at all.
In what was looking to be a good year for Cycling in Otago with so many positive comments about the race programme being different and interesting, the concerned riders should also note that if the so called "Officials that got it wrong" had not intervened your race would have been a short 35 km blast from Brighton to Taieri Mouth as in the past programme, Hmm I wonder now if we could move on and worry about the bigger picture, Racing your Bike.

I agree with your comments fully Novice. Organisers are getting critisized more and more these days with out the thanks they deserve. I believe it was purely bad luck as had the race been 5 minutes earlier or later there would have been no problem. I think it is a great race program longer races are what we need in dunedin. It is great this years program is showing some good varied racing e.g royal hotal calssic i am impressed by the race comittees vision this season. Sort yourself out Brochard maybe you should stay in france injecting epo into your eyeballs and grooming your mullet

also ill continue those complaining about people not lapping just need to get on with it. The more wind you get the stronger you get. One of my main problems was i was never prepared to pull long turns and thats why i never went anywhere in cycling. Ed Merkx used to move to the front and just hammer till there was noone left. Forget about whats behind you becasue if you dont catch the front of the race youve got no chance

I agree Novice if this is the case do we not run any event where someone MAY want to reverse into there driveway with either a car or heaven forbid a caravan. Is it not that the majority of the races that are run on the Taieri's world famous in New Zealand Sams Block have fields surrounding the sacred road. I whilst out riding this Mecca of a course have seen several horse floats been reversed onto fields and down driveways. Where are we safe to ride - shall we ask Mr Branson to take us to the moon!!!!
