In other news frustration is rife within the peloton after a few too many riders pulled soft laps in last weekends race. One irrate cyclist was particularly annoyed with people refusing to take their turn on the front, he was quoted as saying "there is too many phantoms in the bunch!". We cannot confirm whether or not Bat-wing Fairweather was amongst those not fronting up and doing the work.
Race officials announced late last night that they "got it wrong" with Saturday's race finish, and have gone on to say it will not happen again. They also suggested that the incompetence of the truck driver was to blame for the mishap and it was not entirely their fault.
