
The worst keep secret in cycling was confirmed this week when Jimmy “Stocky” Fairweather released a press statement detailing his fear of taking a lap at the front of bicycle races.
“I would like to take a lap but I’m just too weak” Fairweather commented after the last club race.
In other news Chris “China Knees” Henderson showed his diversity over the weekend controlling the elite section of the Round Tekapo mountain bike race from start till 500meters into the event. Henderson said he “enjoyed the experience and was counting down the days till his next mountain biking outing”. He also confessed he had an advantage over the other elite riders as he used a unique prototype mountain bike built by GT, the bike is loosely based on an early 1990’s machine and instead of trying to save weight GT have increased the weight to aid down hill speed.
Joel Davis of team Type Two announced a new sponsor has joined his quest for cycling world domination, Sizzler sausage’s is now the official race food of the Queenstown Tour stage winning solo artist.
Alex McGregor AKA “Napoleon Dynamite” issued a warning to all riders over the weekend “If I blow up in the next race and you’re near me don’t blame me if your hit by farm gate shrapnel” the statement is bound to cause some sleepless nights for many riders.
