Melrose is currently unsure if he will contest this weekends race, after breaking a rib in a downhill mountain biking accident on Monday night. It is alleged that he was riding on a track that may or may not contain fruit in the form of pineapples. Jonathon Sarginson was quoted as telling Melrose "to harden up". Word on the street is Melrose went home and cried himself to sleep that night.
Melrose fears that Jimmy Fairweather may cut his lunch and run away with the points series lead. When questioned he said "I keep trying but I just can't get round Jimmy in a sprint, I just don't know how to beat him. I migh just have to beat him in the hills". One question remains? Will Shane be able to beat Jimmy over the hills or will he lose the battle?

I don't beleive this website could post such false facts to help protect the image of their "pretty boy" and tarnish those of a "good alround honest guy"!
The real truth is, as far as i can tell 4th hand, as follows -
Jonathon Sargison (good alround honest guy) was taking Shane(pretty boy) out to Lone Star to celebrate Shanes recent birthday when Shane was digging into some spare ribs and chipped a tooth on one such rib.
The thought of winning this weekends race and forcing a smile with a chipped front tooth in front of a packed media have left Melrose and his managment group to pull out of this weeks race, fly him to Singapore for some orthodontic surgery and finally release this false media statement.
I am requesting this websites editor please confirm any such statements before releasing them in the future.
